The need for pattern management has become compulsory nowadays due to the spreading of the data mining technology as a result of the information flood. This need has been recognized by both academic and industrial parts resulting in a number of approaches towards efficient pattern management. In this chapter we review the work performed so far in the area of pattern management and outline open research directions regarding complete pattern management. 1
